The complete Path runs for 594 miles(956 km) from Minehead to Poole, but probably the most interesting stretch is Lynmouth to Braunton, because it offers great contrasts between the high, rugged cliffs of the Bristol Channel, to the surf and sand of the Atlantic, plus the sheltered Taw Estuary. This section covers 42 miles, (68 km). Stretched out and taken at a pace that allows you to absorb the beauty of the land, it is an ideal one week holiday and if you are a bird enthusiast it is an obvious choice. The trip can be done as a supported camping trip, with camp equipment and support vehicle supplied, or as a guided tour with hostel style accommodation.
Hadrian’s Wall and the South West Coast Path are just 2 examples of the many trails in the British Isles and we will be happy to discuss other options with you, depending on your interests. Obviously, many of these walks are seasonal, especially as camping holidays, from early April to late October, but hostel trips on many can be done year round, for the hardy outdoor enthusiasts.
